Power To Endure<\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 THERE ARE FEW DESCIPLES OF JESUS TODAY BECAUSE FEW HAVE THE HEART TO CONTINUE WITH HIM.<\/span><\/strong>
\n“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;” \u00a0<\/em>JOHN 8:31<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

CHURCHES PROMOTE THIS BY NOT GETTING PEOPLE SEEKING ANSWERS ANCHORED IN THE WORD OF GOD.<\/span><\/strong>
\n“And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word\u2019s sake, immediately they are offended.” \u00a0\u00a0<\/em>MARK 4:17<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE SIGN OF OUR TIME IS A FICKLENESS AND LACK OF SERIOUS COMMITMENT.<\/span><\/strong>
\n“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;” \u00a0<\/em>2 TIMOTHY 4:3<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1. THERE IS A GODLY PURPOSE FOR ENDURING FOR CHRIST.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 A. FIRST, IT IS TO PLEASE GOD.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” \u00a0<\/em>Revelation 4:11<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

B. SECOND, IT IS TO DO WHATEVER IS NECESSARY TO REACH OTHERS.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 “Therefore I endure all things for the elect\u2019s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.” <\/em>\u00a02 TIMOTHY 2:10<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

2. GOD IS ABLE TO HELP YOU DO THE IMPOSSIBLE.<\/span><\/strong>
\n**MANY ARE AFRAID TO MAKE COMMITMENTS TO THE LORD FOR FEAR
\nTHEY WILL RUN OUT OF STEAM.<\/p>\n

A. WE CAN CONTINUE IN HIS LOVE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.” \u00a0<\/em>JOHN 15:9<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

B. WE CAN CONTINUE IN HIS GRACE – THIS IMPLIES BEING CLOSE AND IN
\nFELLOWSHIP WITH THE LORD.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 “Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.” \u00a0<\/em>ACTS 13:43<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

C. WE CAN CONTINUE IN OUR MINISTRIES FOR THE LORD<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:” \u00a0<\/em>ACTS 26:22<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\u2014EVEN THROUGH DIFFICULTIES<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 “But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.” \u00a0<\/em>2 TIMOTHY 4:5<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

WHY DO SOME PEOPLE THINK BEING A CHRISTIAN DOES AWAY WITH
\nALL THE DIFFICULTIES ?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” \u00a0<\/em>ACTS 14:22<\/strong>“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” \u00a0<\/em>2 TIMOTHY 2:3<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

D. WE CAN PRAY WITHOUT CEASING.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 “Pray without ceasing.” \u00a0<\/em>1 THESSALONIAN 5:17<\/strong>“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;” \u00a0<\/em>COLOSSIANS 4:2<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

3. JESUS WILL HELP THOSE WHO COME TO HIM IN FAITH, REPENTING OF THEIR SINS. <\/span>
\nA. IF JESUS IS CONCERNED ABOUT MINOR ISSUES, HE IS EVEN MORE
\nCONCERNED ABOUT YOUR ETERNAL ISSUES.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 “Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.” \u00a0<\/em>MATTHEW 15:32<\/strong>“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” \u00a0<\/em>JOHN 3:3<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
