Is God His Name ? Warning ! *(Deut. 5:11)
\nMAINTAINING HAPPINESS: Being Certain of Who You Serve<\/i><\/center>
\n1. What is His Name ? <\/span><\/span>
\nA. Not a ‘recent’ revelation.
\n– Hebrew is ‘Jehovah’ = in English, ‘LORD’ (all caps)
\nGen. 2:4 He created all things. Eph. 3:9, Col. 1:16<\/i>
\nB. Although one God, He has chosen to be known by several names. Exodus 6:3<\/i>
\n(EL SHADDAI) Is. 7:14<\/i><\/p>\n

2. His name is an expression of Who He is.<\/span><\/span>
\nA. Is. 9:6<\/i> Presents several names.
\nB. Other names are not fully understood. (Psalm 68:4)
\nRev. 19:12, Ex. 3:14, Judges 13:18<\/i>
\nC. His Names are limited to those He Himself chooses to use. Acts 4:12<\/i>
\nD. He is part of Israel, placing His Name there. Num. 6:23-27<\/i>
\n(Isra-el, the Name ‘EL’ is shortened from ‘ELOHIM’) 2 Chron. 7:14<\/i><\/p>\n

3. Great benefits to those who seek to know His Name better.<\/span><\/span>
\nA. Blessings of healing and safety. Mal. 4:2<\/i>
\nB. Where 2 or 3 are gathered in His Name – His presence is there. Matt. 18:20<\/i>
\nC. It gains access to the innermost person of God. John 14:13<\/i>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The Necessity of Knowing Him Better !<\/i> *(Deut. 5:11)
\nMAINTAINING HAPPINESS: Being Certain of Whom You Serve<\/center>
\n1. Great benefits to those who seek to know His Name better. <\/span><\/span>
\nA. Blessings of healing and safety. Mal. 4:2<\/i>
\nB. Where 2 or 3 are gathered in His Name – His presence is there. Matt. 18:20<\/i>
\nC. It gains access to the innermost Person of God. John 14:13<\/i>
\nD. It reminds us to stay faithful. Ex. 34:14<\/i><\/p>\n

2. Knowing Him helps to understand our own place. <\/span><\/span>
\nA. Lower than the angels. (Lit.=”for a little while lower than the angels.”)
\n*Speaks both of Jesus and the saved.
\nB. Made to have all things under His feet. Gen. 1:26, 2 Tim. 2:12, Rev. 20:6<\/i>
\n– Dominion over other people. Judges 5:12 & 13, Gen. 27:40, Rev. 1:6<\/i>
\n– In Millennium, Col. 3:20, Eph. 5:22, Heb. 13:17<\/i>
\n– Yet modern man can’t even make his kids obey. Many times Believers allow
\ncircumstances to dictate life’s path, rather than actual
\nsubmission to God. Heb. 12:9<\/i>
\nC. Crowned with glory and honor.
\n– All good things come through the Lord. James 1:17<\/i>
\n– If He is seen in us, we radiate His glory. I Pet. 4:14<\/i>
