Rom. 4:21, Titus 1:2, Heb. 6:12, 10:23, 12:26<\/i><br \/>\nA. To Ebed-melech. (Jer. 39:16-18)<br \/>\nB. To the children of Israel.<br \/>\n&#8211; To the dead rulers. (Jer. 39:6)<br \/>\n&#8211; The remaining soldiers. (Jer. 40:6-8)<br \/>\nC. To the Believer, Jeremiah. (Jer. 39:11,12)<br \/>\nD. To the enemies of Israel. (Jer. 40:1-3)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2. <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000; text-decoration: underline;\"> God doesn&#8217;t always answer immediately.<\/span> <\/span> (Jer. 42:7)<br \/>\nA. This provides the lost and weak a reason to doubt. <i>2 Peter 3:4<\/i><br \/>\nB. Daniel&#8217;s 21 day fast. <i>Daniel 10:3-5<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">3. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> God doesn&#8217;t always answer according to our will, but according to His promises.<\/span> <\/span><br \/>\n<i>Phil. 4:19<\/i> *Paul finally came to know this. <i>2 Cor. 12:9<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">4. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> God&#8217;s promises are reliable to the end.<\/span> <\/span><br \/>\n*He doesn&#8217;t want us to be foolish in our dealings with the world &#8211; accepting<br \/>\ntheir views but not God&#8217;s.<br \/>\n&#8211; Must know what the enemy does and can do.<br \/>\n<i>2 Cor. 2:11<\/i>&#8230;Creates imitations. <i>Matt. 13:25<\/i><br \/>\n&#8211; Must deal wisely at all times. <i>Matt. 10:16 &#8220;Wise as serpents&#8221;<\/i><br \/>\nCautious, always looking, but confident, not paranoid.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><center><strong>&#8211; Part 2 &#8211;<\/strong><\/center><center><\/center><center><b>WHEN HUMAN LOGIC GETS YOU INTO TROUBLE WITH GOD<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Depending on our intellect, sight, and abilities to discern all circumstances will result in severe problems and the chastening hand of the Almighty !<\/i> <\/center><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Gedaliah&#8217;s assumption.<\/span> <\/span><br \/>\n<i>**That everyone in the same boat had the same goals.<\/i><br \/>\nA. His rejection of more bad news. (He had &#8220;heard enough already&#8221;)<br \/>\n(Jer. 40:14-15)<br \/>\nB. His disbelief in the corruption of a fellow survivor. (Jer. 40:16)<br \/>\n<i>Luke 10:3, 1 Cor. 11:19<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Johanan&#8217;s assumption.<\/span> <\/span><br \/>\n<i> *He prayed for God&#8217;s help &#8211; (Jer. 42:1-3) &#8211; But was he willing to accept it in the<br \/>\nway God wanted to give it ?<\/i><br \/>\nA. Chaldeans &#8211; the enemy &#8211; can&#8217;t be trusted. (Jer. 43:3)<br \/>\nB. God&#8217;s Word couldn&#8217;t be true. (Jer. 43:2) <i>Luke 1:37, 18:27<\/i><br \/>\nC. He assumed that his own logic was more truthful than the Word of God<br \/>\ncoming through another man.<br \/>\n&#8211; This is a sign of pride. (Jer. 43:2) Proud men. <i>Pro. 16:18, 1 John 2:16<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">3. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Your assumptions (?)<\/span> <\/span><br \/>\nA. In prayer &#8211; God can do anything, but I don&#8217;t know if He will.<br \/>\nB. If a person says they are saved, they must be.<br \/>\nC.
