DEGREES OF PUNISHMENT<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1. Israel to suffer double.<\/span> <\/span>
\nA. All that God does is righteous. Righteousness is part of His nature.
\nPsalm 119:137<\/i>
\nB. All that God does may not be understood by man.
\nIsaiah 55:8-9, Rom. 11:33, Isaiah 48:6<\/i>
\nC. God desires to teach His children.<\/p>\n

2. Degrees of sin. (All sin is against God.)<\/span> <\/span>
\nA. The wages of (one) sin is death. Rom. 6:23<\/i>
\n– Only one solution. 1 John 1:7<\/i>
\nB. Some sins are counted heavier than others.
\n– Some counted very serious. Gen. 18:20, Ex. 32:21, 30-31<\/i>
\n– Some not as serious.Immediate death not required.
\n1 John 5:16<\/i>
\n– Sins of ignorance. Lev. 4:2<\/i>
\n– Sins of omission. Lev. 5:1, James 4:17<\/i><\/p>\n

3. Degrees of punishment.<\/span> <\/span>Rev. 20:12-13<\/i>
\nA. The individual situation is considered. Luke 12:48<\/i>
\nB. The crime is considered. (Trespasses and sins)<\/p>\n

\n1.) to fall beside or near something
\n2.) a lapse or deviation from truth and uprightness<\/p>\n

SIN = #266 hamartia<\/b>
\n1a.) to be without a share in
\n1b.) to miss the mark (of God’s Law & Standard)
\n1c.) to err, be mistaken
\n1d.) to miss or wander from the path of uprightness and honor,
\nto do or go wrong<\/p>\n
