WALKING WITH HIM IS TO HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><strong>1 John 1:6\u00a0<\/strong> <i>If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:<\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 John 1:7<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><i>But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>WHAT IS FELLOWSHIP ?\u00a0 IT MEANS ONE THING WITH ONE PERSON AND ANOTHER TO SOMEONE ELSE.\u00a0\u00a0 GOD&#8217;S DEFINITION IS THE ONE THAT COUNTS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FELLOWSHIP IS TURNING OUR ATTENTION ON GOD, NOT EVERYONE ELSE.\u00a0 <\/strong>(Rejecting the distracting appeal of idolatry).<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>2 Corinthians 6:16<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><i>And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, <\/i><strong><i>I will dwell in them, and walk in them<\/i><\/strong><i>; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people<\/i>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>FELLOWSHIP CANNOT BE OBTAINED IF WE DWELL IN UNBELIEF.<\/strong>\u00a0 IF WE ARE TO WALK WITH JESUS, WE MUST FOLLOW HIS WORD.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>John 5:8\u00a0<\/strong> <i>Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, <\/i><strong><i>and walk<\/i><i>.\u00a0<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 5:11\u00a0 <\/strong><i>He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, <\/i><strong><i>Take up thy bed, and walk<\/i><i>.\u00a0<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>John 5:12<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><i>Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, <\/i><strong><i>and walk<\/i>?<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>FELLOWSHIP WITH GOD MEANS NO TIME FOR EVERYTHING. \u00a0YOU WILL HAVE TO DROP FELLOWSHIP WITH OTHER THINGS IN ORDER TO MAKE THE ROOM.\u00a0<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b>\u00a0\u00a0YOU CANNOT BE ALL THINGS TO ALL PEOPLE.\u00a0\u00a0 YOU CANNOT FULFILL ALL THAT YOU WANT TO DO.\u00a0\u00a0 TO HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH JESUS, YOU MUST DENY YOURSELF.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Mark 8:34<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><i>And when He had called the people unto Him with His disciples also, He said unto them, Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me<\/i>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>IF A PERSON FAILS TO FOLLOW, THEY NO LONGER HAVE FELLOWSHIP.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Matthew 19:21<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><i>Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and <\/i><strong><i>come and follow Me<\/i>.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">WAS PETER HAVING FELLOWSHIP WITH JESUS WHEN HE FOLLOWED FROM A DISTANCE ?\u00a0 NO !<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Matthew 26:58<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><i>But Peter followed Him afar off unto the high priest\u2019s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end<\/i>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<h3>2. BY PUTTING YOUR ATTENTION ON JESUS, YOU WILL LEARN THINGS THAT YOU WOULD MISS BY SIMPLY READING.<\/h3>\n<p>YOU SEE THE REAL STANDARDS. \u00a0IT IS DIFFICULT TO REALLY TELL MUCH ABOUT A PERSON BY HEARING THEM IN A RELIGIOUS CONTEXT.\u00a0 YOU WILL BE ABLE TO KNOW THEIR STANDARDS WHEN IT ISN\u2019T AROUND CHURCH. \u00a0YOU SEE WHAT THE PERSON\u2019S DESIRES REALLY ARE.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>HOW CAN WE APPLY JESUS TRUE DESIRES TO OUR LIVES ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SEEK &amp; SAVE THE LOST.\u00a0 <strong>Mt 18:11<\/strong><b>\u00a0 &#8220;<\/b><i>For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.&#8221;<\/i><\/li>\n<li>JERUSALEM.\u00a0 YOU WILL GET CONCERNED ABOUT ISRAEL.\u00a0<strong> Luke 13:34<\/strong>\u00a0&#8220;<em>O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!&#8221;<\/em><\/li>\n<li>HIS HURT OVER UNBELIEF.\u00a0 <strong>John 11:35<\/strong><b>\u00a0<\/b><em> &#8220;<\/em><i>Jesus wept.&#8221; \u00a0<\/i>(You don\u2019t see such emotions while doing your own thing).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><strong>HIS FRUSTRATIONS OVER&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>PEOPLE WHO HAVEN\u2019T COME TO UNDERSTAND THE BASICS ABOUT GOD.\u00a0 \u201cHOW LONG HAVE I BEEN WITH YOU ?\u201d\u00a0 <strong>John 14:7-11<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>&#8220;<\/em><i>Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works&#8217; sake.&#8221;<\/i><\/li>\n<li>PEOPLE WHO OUGHT TO HAVE FAITH, WHO DON\u2019T EXERCISE IT.\u00a0 <strong>Luke 8:25<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><em>&#8220;<\/em><i>And He said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for He commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey Him.&#8221;<\/i><\/li>\n<li>PEOPLE WHO SHOULD\u00a0 BE TRUSTING GOD, BUT TRY TO REASON THINGS OUT LOGICALLY AMONG THEMSELVES.\u00a0 <strong>Mark 8:16<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><em>&#8220;<\/em><i>And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.&#8221;<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>3. YOU GET TO SEE WHAT GOD DOES.<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>A child often has no idea what the parent does at work unless they go there and walk with him.\u00a0 The same is true to the Christian life.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WALKING WITH JESUS IS ESSENTIAL TO RECOGNIZING AND DEFEATING DEMONIC ACTIVITY.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">DEMONS OBEY.\u00a0 <strong>Luke 4:36<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><em>&#8220;<\/em><i>And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power He commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out.&#8221;<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WALKING WITH JESUS IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE AND HOW TO PLACE OUR ACTIONS OF LOVE.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">HIS COMPASSION.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>THE HUNGRY CROWD.\u00a0 <strong>Matthew 15:32<\/strong><em>\u00a0<b>\u00a0<\/b>&#8220;<\/em><i>Then Jesus called His disciples unto Him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with Me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.&#8221;<\/i><\/li>\n<li>THE\u00a0 CHILDREN THAT OTHERS REJECTED.\u00a0 <strong>Mark 10:14<\/strong>\u00a0 <em>&#8220;<\/em><i>But when Jesus saw it, He was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.&#8221;<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><b>4. YOU GET TO SEE HIS ASSOCIATIONS.<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>THE PEOPLE WHO WALK WITH HIM SEE MORE. UNLESS YOU ARE WALKING WITH HIM, YOU MIGHT NOT SEE THEM.\u00a0 **SOME SAY, \u201cI\u2019M THE ONLY ONE SERVING THE LORD.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Acts 9:26<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><i>And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>YOU SEE WHO ISN\u2019T WALKING WITH HIM, BUT PUT THEIR OWN DESIRES AND WAYS AHEAD OF HIS. THEY SIMPLY WON\u2019T BE THERE.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>1 John 2:19<\/strong><b>\u00a0 <\/b><i>They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt\u00a0 have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">\u201cWalking With The Lord\u201d<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">A Bible Study with Dr. Ed J.
