The oldest ways are God&#8217;s ways. <i> Isaiah 55:9<\/i><br \/>\nB. The newer ways are our own ways. <i>Psalm 119:59<\/i><br \/>\nC. Requires an honest receiving of the facts.<br \/>\n&#8211; Can&#8217;t be merely head knowledge. <i>Psalms 95:10<\/i><br \/>\n&#8211; Can&#8217;t come from questionable sources.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Ask for the old ways<\/span> <\/span><br \/>\nA. Must believe in the power of prayer. <i>Mark 11:24<\/i><br \/>\nB. Must be willing to change. <i> Jer. 16:12, 2 Kings 17:40<\/i><br \/>\nC. Must expect to receive.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">3. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Walk in the Old Ways.<\/span> <\/span><br \/>\nA. Abandoning the &#8216;new&#8217; ones.<br \/>\n&#8211; Turning around = Repentance.<br \/>\nB. There is blessing in the old ways. <i>Pro. 23:26<\/i><br \/>\nC. There is condemnation in the new ways. <i>Mal.2:9<\/i><\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><center><center><b>~ Part 2 ~<\/b><\/center><\/center><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>THE BELIEVER&#8217;S ROLE IN A CONDEMNED SOCIETY<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Do We Really Know What God Wants Us To Be? <\/i><\/p>\n<p>Jeremiah 6:27 &#8211; <i>I have set thee for a <b>tower<\/b> and a <b>fortress<\/b> among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">1. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Purposes of a good tower.<\/span> <\/span><br \/>\nA. To see better. <i>Psalms 61:2 &amp; Habakkuk 2:1<\/i><br \/>\n&#8211; God is our tower: <i>Psalms 144:2<\/i><br \/>\nB. To defend better. <i> 2 Chronicles 26:15<\/i><br \/>\nC. To be seen as a directional device.<br \/>\n<i>(Towers, lighthouses, etc. all used as landmarks)<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> Purposes of a good fortress. <\/span> <\/span><br \/>\nA. To defend the town from aggressors.<br \/>\nWe should not be looked upon as the salvation of the lost.<br \/>\nWe must always point them to God. <i>Deut. 28:52<\/i><br \/>\n&#8211; Parents duty. The work of the perfect parent: <i>John 17:15<\/i><br \/>\n&#8211; Husband&#8217;s duty: <i>Ephesians 5:25<\/i><br \/>\n&#8211; Friend&#8217;s duty: <i>1 Tim. 2:1<\/i><br \/>\nB. To provide a high place to defeat the enemy.<br \/>\nC. To keep out what is evil. <i>Psalms 18:2 (My Deliverer)<\/i><br \/>\nD.
