\nWHEN OLD WAYS ARE BETTER THAN NEW ONES<\/b><\/p>\n

1. Stand (put yourself again) in the old ways, and see.<\/span> <\/span>
\n*Requires observation. People can become too busy to realize
\nwhat is happening to them.<\/i>
\nA. The oldest ways are God’s ways. Isaiah 55:9<\/i>
\nB. The newer ways are our own ways. Psalm 119:59<\/i>
\nC. Requires an honest receiving of the facts.
\n– Can’t be merely head knowledge. Psalms 95:10<\/i>
\n– Can’t come from questionable sources.<\/p>\n

2. Ask for the old ways<\/span> <\/span>
\nA. Must believe in the power of prayer. Mark 11:24<\/i>
\nB. Must be willing to change. Jer. 16:12, 2 Kings 17:40<\/i>
\nC. Must expect to receive.<\/p>\n

3. Walk in the Old Ways.<\/span> <\/span>
\nA. Abandoning the ‘new’ ones.
\n– Turning around = Repentance.
\nB. There is blessing in the old ways. Pro. 23:26<\/i>
\nC. There is condemnation in the new ways. Mal.2:9<\/i><\/p>\n

~ Part 2 ~<\/b><\/center><\/center>THE BELIEVER’S ROLE IN A CONDEMNED SOCIETY<\/b><\/p>\n

Do We Really Know What God Wants Us To Be? <\/i><\/p>\n

Jeremiah 6:27 – I have set thee for a tower<\/b> and a fortress<\/b> among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.<\/i><\/p>\n

1. Purposes of a good tower.<\/span> <\/span>
\nA. To see better. Psalms 61:2 & Habakkuk 2:1<\/i>
\n– God is our tower: Psalms 144:2<\/i>
\nB. To defend better. 2 Chronicles 26:15<\/i>
\nC. To be seen as a directional device.
\n(Towers, lighthouses, etc. all used as landmarks)<\/i><\/p>\n

2. Purposes of a good fortress. <\/span> <\/span>
\nA. To defend the town from aggressors.
\nWe should not be looked upon as the salvation of the lost.
\nWe must always point them to God. Deut. 28:52<\/i>
\n– Parents duty. The work of the perfect parent: John 17:15<\/i>
\n– Husband’s duty: Ephesians 5:25<\/i>
\n– Friend’s duty: 1 Tim. 2:1<\/i>
\nB. To provide a high place to defeat the enemy.
\nC. To keep out what is evil. Psalms 18:2 (My Deliverer)<\/i>
\nD. To provide confidence to others. Isaiah 62:6<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
