MAINTAINING HAPPINESS: 
Knowing That God Will Hear


*THIS IS ONE OF THE FEARS THAT DAVID OVERCAME THROUGH FACTS INVOLVING HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

 

1. WHAT IF GOD DIDN’T HEAR US ?    O HORRIBLE THOUGHT !!!
A. A VERY HUMAN FEAR. * MANY NEVER ESCAPE IT.
B. A FEAR THAT CAN BE OVERCOME BY TRUTH. V. 1 & 3.
—GOD DOESN’T TREAT HIS CHILDREN LIKE HE TREATS THE
CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL. MICAH 7:7-9.
2. TIMES AND CIRCUMSTANCES THAT GOD WILL NOT HEAR US.
A. PUTTING OTHER THINGS AHEAD OF GOD. JER. 11:14
B. FOR VIOLENCE AND ABOMINATIONS. EZEK. 8:18.
C. HATE GOOD, LOVE EVIL, HURT THE JEWS. MICAH 3:4.
D. IF I REGARD INIQUITY IN MY HEART. PS. 66:18.
E. FOR DISOBEDIENCE: DOING THINGS OUR WAY INSTEAD
OF HIS. DEUT. 3:26.
F. SPECIAL EVIL ACTIONS POINTED OUT:
—V. 3—SPEAK PEACE, BUT WORK MISCHIEF. JER. 8:11.
—V. 5—FAIL TO REGARD THE WORKS OF GOD
BRINGING CONVICTION, REPENTANCE, ETC. JOHN 16:8
WORKS THAT SHOULD BUILD FAITH. JOHN 6:29.
DISRESPECTING HIS WORD. EX. 32:16.
